The success story of VIA FUTURA Ltd. began in 2004. Leaving the earlier organizational structures behind, experts prominent in the general planning and design of traffic facilities decided to establish this private enterprise with the primary purpose of carrying out traffic design tasks. Ever since its establishment, the company has been dealing with planning and designing engineering facilities, with special regard to infrastructural projects, such as roads, bicycle routes, bridges and utilities (e.g. drainage systems). The achievements of recent years have proven that our professional work is appreciated by our clients, the authorities cooperating with us in official procedures as well as other design offices that are in daily contact with us.
Strategies
We are ready to prepare national, regional, micro-regional and local traffic development concepts and programmes as well as complex development concepts, national and regional development plans and the traffic development components of Integrated Urban Low Emission Development Strategies.
Plans and designs
Our company’s core activity is the detailed planning and design of traffic networks and traffic facilities (preparation of preliminary draft studies, planning application documents, tender, implementation plans and as-built drawings). We add quality services to our detailed planning activities (plan discussion and harmonization, preparation and coordination of related special plans, licensing, communication, design architect’s and design engineer’s site supervision).
Studies
We prepare feasibility studies for a wide range of clients to assess the feasibility of local and regional public transport and traffic network development projects, road network development projects, international transport corridors, traffic facilities and toll collection systems.
Quality is guaranteed by:
high level of engineering expertise
several years of experience in planning and design
innovative, creative mindset
constant training and education of colleagues
affinity to new technologies
outstanding level of IT readiness
ISO 9001:2001 quality assurance system
full design liability insurance
Via Futura Ltd. has successfully been operating the ISO 9001:2001 quality assurance system on complex traffic planning, road and highway design since early 2006. The company has full design liability insurance provided by Uniqua Insurance Co. – although none of our clients have ever filed a claim for damages over the years so far. Our company is financially sound. We have conducted our banking activities via Volksbank Hungary Co. ever since the beginning of our operation. We have never had any social security, tax, duty or other public debts – as proven by our financial reports.
Equipment
The technical and IT equipment of our design office has been constantly developed. The plans are made in a fully digitalized manner, from assessment and planning to the final phase of documentation. The office has outstanding IT equipment, our engineers are frequent users of special planning and design software applications as well as the general office software packages. In addition to the IT equipment, our measurements and site surveys are further supported by modern geodesic tools.

Clients
National public procurement tenders
A significant share of our revenues derive from major planning and consulting projects won in national public procurement tenders (highways, primary and secondary roads, byroads, town bypasses, bicycle routes).Municipalities
Our clientèle also includes county and town municipalities, we prepare plans and feasibility studies for them, and we undertake the preparation of complex tender materials as well.Real estate developers
The third segment of our client base consists of Hungarian and foreign real estate developers conducting infrastructural projects (e.g. preparation of an industrial park area, access and road connection to shopping centres, construction of parking lots).General contractors in construction
We also prepare planning application documents, coverage plans and as-built drawings for large general contractors in construction. Our clients always respond positively to the fact that we undertake the job as a general design contractor – this is the token of assuming the designer’s responsibility and of fast and efficient work as well.
Activities
Strategic planning, concept development
We are ready to prepare national, regional, micro-regional and local traffic development concepts and programmes as well as complex development concepts, national and regional development plans and the traffic development components of Integrated Urban Low Emission Development Strategies.
During the strategic planning phase, we analyze the potential development directions and priorities as well as the optimal utilization of the development funds available. The preparation of conceptual plans includes the making, discussion and approval of the strategies for the development of community, traffic and public road networks.
Detailed planning of traffic networks and facilities, licensing, tender and implementation plans
Key design areas:
- Planning and pavement renovation works of highways, first and secondary roads
- Planning works of town bypasses and junctions
- Road renovation works related to border crossing stations
- Planning/licensing of bicycle routes within and outside municipality boundaries
- Planning and licensing of streets within municipality boundaries (paving and pavement renovation, development of parking lots, rebuilding public areas)
- Planning works of the internal traffic systems and external access of office and institution complexes, industrial parks, residential parks, leisure, sports and entertainment facilities, shopping and logistic centres
- Complex rehabilitation of public areas
- Planning and licensing of rainwater drainage systems within municipality boundaries
- City railways, main roads, secondary roads, streets with pedestrian and mixed traffic, junctions
- Streets and zones with limited (reduced) traffic
Feasibility and impact studies
We prepare feasibility studies for a wide range of clients to assess the feasibility of local and regional public transport and traffic network development projects, road network development projects, international transport corridors, traffic facilities and toll collection systems.
As part of feasibility studies, we conduct the analyses of economic, social, environmental and traffic impacts of development and investment projects, comparative analyses of different versions as well as complex impact analyses of entire projects. On occasion, we also conduct project prioritization, “before” and “after” studies, we calculate monitoring indicators and review technical and traffic data as well.
Our colleagues
In our Budapest and Veszprém offices, our young and dynamic design company currently employs altogether 20 full-time professionals, including 18 qualified civil engineers. Our company philosophy is that the quality of our personnel is the token of high professional performance: half of our employees are in the highest category in terms of professional classification.
We are proud of the low fluctuation in our company; once professionals join us, they typically remain in the employment of the enterprise in the long run. Due to the young average age in our company, we can proudly say that we have several colleagues married with children.
The founders of the company have always been personally involved in professional operation. Senior designers are primarily involved in the coordination of the design works and the supervision of the related special technical plans. This task includes supervising the colleagues performing the typical building and environmental planning activities as well as hiring and cooperating with the highly-acclaimed experts of certain fields requiring special instruments and knowledge.
In addition to the specific architectural and technical planning activities, our architectural designers can perform all tasks from visual rendering and technical processing to budgeting – helping and complementing each other’s work in certain areas.
The success of our professional work lies in our colleagues’ high qualifications such as special, economic, certified civil or traffic engineering degrees.
Our colleagues are authorized to conduct the following design and engineering activities:
- traffic civil engineering
- traffic engineering
- urban development traffic engineering
- water engineering
- bridge support structural engineering
Several colleagues are authorized to conduct the following expert consultancy activities, with “highly experienced” classification:
- general traffic planning
- route planning and traffic technology
- network planning
- urban traffic planning and organization
- local and urban landscape design (traffic)
- national and regional traffic analyses
